Hungry nights, 2024
Syrah from our vineyards at Valgrand, an area just south of Valvignères, known for its soil dominated by Marne Bleue. The combination of the salty minerality from Marne Bleue and the fragile tannins from nine months of maceration of both destemmed Syrah and the Chardonnay from Mazel, is very interesting. It gives the wine a beautiful strong structure, another direction and a whole other balance, something more similar full-bodied wine with richer tannins, but still with very light tannins and a very present young fruit – almost Ploussard-like. One year of élevage in Demi-muid, bottled in early June of 2026 and after bottling another half a year in the bottles before release.
